Is «sexual magic» really sexual?

Curiously enough, rites of activation of sexual energies were present even within pre-thelemistic magic. In connection with the fact that impossibility or possibility as well as correctness or incorrectness of performance of Ceremonial magic’s rites, which involve persons of both sexes, are discussed stirringly, it is essential to clarify this either-or in the first instance. An important point is that Magic rites have distinct differentiation between «female» and «male» ones in the whole field of their history. Therefore, many of present-day male fortune-tellers as well as female Druids are odd-looking.

It is logical that the activation of various levels of the Might and their application are required for a number of magic activities and events. A person shall not only be able to differentiate the might Streams (outcoming «male» and incoming «female» ones), but also have an idea of the way of receiving/emitting the Might. Therefore, it may be concluded that some magic actions involve the activation of deep layers of the might whereas other ones require the activation of upper and lightsome layers, which are easier reachable.

The extra way of expression of the Might of more ancient and deeper nature has become available thanks to sexual energy. The erotic («eros» is a unifying force in Ancient Greece) sexual force of attraction is any force that arise between poles of a binary couple. This force is opposite to the direction of dividing or differentiating energy of the Creative pulse. By means of it all magic rites and actions are divided into «unifying» and «dividing». In other words, «solvating» is the giving back of an actual element to the World medium and «coagulation» is the isolation and extraction of certain elements from the World medium. The «realizing» rite of Galdr is coagulating one. It means that a new force vector is created with a particular combination of Runes, which is a new realization. Undesirable vectors or vortexes are destructed by performing the Solvating rite of Cleansing.

It often happens that both approaches are essential to perform particular rites. At first an element gets extracted, then it is subjected to certain procedures and finally this element gets «dissolved». Such rites are erotic/sexual ones, which involve usage of both streams. For instance, Seid session extracts a particular mental element from the World stream to pass it through an operator. Then the element returns to the Stream and gets dissolved in it. Similarly, thelemistic rites extract «Reshimot» (marks of a number of force fields) from the Stream and then send them back.
To perform these rites and actions, it is essential to activate deep levels of an operator since it involves a «sexual» level. It means that any evocation as well as many invocations may be attributed to «sexual magic» rites with every reason.

Actually, a good rule of thumb is that in the course of such rites a man starts «emitting» and a woman starts «absorbing» at a more intensive rate than in a normal state thanks to sharpening of «gender» qualities of an operator. It is really important and shall be taken into account that the presence of persons of both sexes at a rite may change its course radically and make it more or less efficient.
